Interactive Java TutorialsFluorescence Filter SpectraThis tutorial explores the overlap of fluorescence filter spectra and how changes in these filters determines the bandwidth of wavelengths passed through the various filter combinations. To operate the tutorial, use the mouse cursor to adjust the slider bars of the exciter filter, barrier filter, and dichroic mirror. The spectral bandwidth of the various filters is shown below the slider and appears as a colored spectrum in the curves above the sliders. Use different combinations to experiment on specialized bandpass combinations. Note: intensities on the ordinate are for reference purposes only and do not reflect on the actual intensities passed through the filters. Only the wavelengths passed through the barrier filter are visible in the graph.
